Ethiopia 2008!

An incredible journey made possible by so many loving donors! Our team of sixteen returned to the United States on April 5, 2008, tired, but full of love for the children of Ethiopia!

Ethiopia 2007 - A week to Remember!

What an incredible week we had in Ethiopia! Not only was the trip a blessing for the children, but to the participants as well, who enjoyed an amazing week of friendship, fellowship, and time spent with some truly special children!


We were able to:

  • Paint 10 bedrooms with the help of the beautiful children of Layla House!
  • Provide new sheets and bedspreads
  • Paint stencils on the walls of the bedrooms
  • Provide 2 eMachines with monitors for the children's new computer lab
  • Assemble ten Trek bikes for the children of Layla House and AHOPE 
  • Paint and set up the new library at Layla House
  • Visit our sponsored child in Nazret, through COEEF

Mission Trip to Ethiopia - April 2006

In April 2006, our family, along with six other people, traveled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to deliver supplies to Layla House and AHOPE. We carried over 1,100 pounds of supplies that included clothing, shoes, school supplies, sports equipment, toys, and medicine. While we were there we were able to paint a nursery, taught some classes, accompanied the children on a field trip and visited one of the COEEF schools in Koka.


It was an incredibly moving experience for everyone involved, and we look forward to our next visit to Ethiopia in March 2007!
